    Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to request permission to reproduce some pictures of "Asterix le Gaulois” in our publication "Der Altsprachliche Unterricht" No. 4/2005.

Our publication is a pedagogical magazine for teachers of Latin and Greek in Germany. The pictures including the text are reproduced as part of teaching materials, i. e. to be given to schoolchildren to work with. Our magazine appears every two months with a small circulation (only about 4000 subscribers, price per issue : 8 euros).

The pictures are taken from page 5 of your above mentioned publication. The text will alternately be the original French and a German and Latin translation.

Also we need the page that introduces the main characters.

Should you not hold the rights to the above-mentioned pictures, I would be grateful if you could give us as soon as possible the name and address of the appropriate person or firm to contact.

    Thank you in advance.

    Sincerely,

Jörg Pfeifer (Editor, DER ALTSPRACHLICHE UNTERRICHT) Im Brande 17 30926 Seelze, Germany E-mail : redaktion.au@friedrich-verlag.de
